La portada del primer disco de The Killers -el Hot Fuss- la encontré bien poco graciosa en cambio la segundo Sam's Town es mucho más elaborada. Es un detalle que no es menor, lo de un buen envoltorio para buena música debería ser un deber. No es la primera vez que hago alusión a mi particular predilección por las portadas (el arte) de obras de todo tipo, ya sean de música y discos, literatura con libros y sus portadas, videojuegos con su gráficas e historias o el cine y sus ilimitados recursos. Siempre me he interesado mucho por esta forma de expresión artística, magistral en unas ocasiones, y horrenda en otras tantas. Es por eso que este vídeo que a continuación presento me dejó marcando ocupado.
Se trata de un videomontaje de discutible calidad técnica, pero que sin embargo resulta tremendamente espectacular, al menos para aquellos que sean conocedores de la historia de la buena música. En él, podremos ver cómo las carátulas de los discos más celebres de grupos como Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, Ozzy, Michael Jackson, Rush, etc. se dedican a destruirse entre ellas, amén de otras cosas más eróticas. Resulta muy difícil de explicar, pero viéndolo van a entenderlo a la perfección.
